Combines two popular floats.  The first half is the easiest on the river, featuring several Class I rapids and riffles. Trip is 5 miles long and takes about 2 hours to paddle at normal pace. This trip is great for fisherman who want to enjoy the river.  Stop at the boat ramp in Buchanan for a break and hop back in your boat for the second half, a 6 mile river trip which takes about 2.5 to 3 hours to paddle with class I and II rapids. Featuring a fun and exciting river section with good current and numerous Class I  and II rapids.  This part of the trip is more challenging than the Springwood float. Total paddling time 4.5 to 5 hours. Covers 11 miles of river.
